North Lincs Council set to make savings of around £70,000

A strategic partnership with Redstone enables Council to meet government
targets and technology vision

March 30, 2006 - North Lincolnshire Council is set to make savings of
approximately £70,000 per year thanks to a contract with two divisions of
Redstone plc, to switch all its existing services from BT and transform its
voice and data network.

Redstone Converged Solutions and Redstone Telecom will provide thought
leadership and innovation to the council's current IT infrastructure and
help the council deliver new services such as a community network for
council, schools and the community, making it a council for the 21st
century.

Councillor Keith Vickers, Cabinet Member for Corporate Services at North
Lincolnshire Council said: " We chose Redstone as an experienced and safe
pair of hands to work with us to help transform our technology for the
benefit of the people we serve. The council is committed to providing best
value for money. By changing contracts we are able to do just that. With
the new contract we are able to save thousands of pounds and improve the
service we provide."

Redstone beat off some 30 other tenders to win the contract, worth
approximately £1.2 million and it will provide voice and data lines linking
over 140 council premises. All existing lines and telecommunications
services with BT will be transferred to Redstone before the start of the new
financial year in April 2006. Now through automatic billing to each
department, better analysis of costs, savings will be in the region of 55
per cent on call charges and a reduction of 25 per cent on line rentals.
Already the council has identified an additional £10,000 of savings from
under used ISDN lines.

Martin Balaam, CEO, Redstone plc said: "By linking all council premises
telephone lines together a strategic base is provided on which to develop
shared delivery of services across all agencies for example, contact
centres, kiosks and service and presence points. With further projects
underway, we look forward to our continued strategic relationship with North
Lincolnshire Council offering further step change guidance and helping them
to meet their vision of e-Government."

HEALTHCARE HARNESSES AIRSPACE FOR BETTER PATIENT CARE

Security management is key for wireless healthcare

London - 22 March 2006 -- Wireless technology is vastly improving
communications within hospitals and NHS trusts and providing greater levels
of patient care, but healthcare organisations must take control of their
airspace in order to control access to confidential patient information,
according to Red-M, a leading provider of services and products for managing
wireless infrastructure.

Applying Red-M's Total Airspace Management (TAM) approach will provide
healthcare organisations with a robust and secure foundation upon which
wireless installations can be rolled out and by carefully managing their
airspace organisations will be able to detect when and where wireless
devices are in use, allowing them to stop unauthorised attempts to attach to
the network and controlling access to confidential patient data.

United Bristol Healthcare Trust (UBHT) is one healthcare organisation that
has recognised the potential of wireless technology when it is properly
managed. With 7,000 staff across nine different hospitals, UBHT is one of
the largest acute trusts in the country as well as a major teaching and
research centre for the South West. In order to provide the best service
for its 4,000 IT users and 110,000 inpatient and day care admissions, the
trust began installing a series of small closely confined wireless systems
in order to provide specific services for clinicians on the wards and to
overcome the challenge of providing connectivity between the different
buildings.

The wireless systems have proven successful and there are plans for more
deployments in the future, but UBHT maintains that the success of the
programme depends on careful management of the airspace. Dave Oatway, the
trust's Computer Services Manager said, "At Bristol we have thousands of
people walking around our buildings every single day. Although the vast
majority are law-abiding, we have to protect against the threats we don't
even know are out there."

Andrew Barker, Chief Marketing Officer of Red-M Group, said "All public
environments should treat wireless technology as the fourth utility along
with water, electricity and gas. In the healthcare sector wireless is
proving invaluable for managing patient data, monitoring patients and
communicating between trusts, but with sensitive patient information
involved, it is vital that airspace is carefully managed."

Red-M has implemented wireless systems in more than 300 buildings throughout
the UK, including the busiest airport (Heathrow) and the highest building
(Canary Wharf), as well as shopping malls, manufacturing facilities and
stadia. The company recently completed private equity investment of £5.4m.
"This funding will enable Red-M to accelerate the development of our TAM
services and products, to help more customers make their airspace pay", said
Dave Richmond, Chief Executive Officer, Red-M Group.

MAXWELL TECHNOLOGIES RECEIVES 200,000-UNIT, THREE-YEAR ULTRACAPACITOR PURCHASE ORDER FROM GENERAL HYDROGEN

General Hydrogen's Hydricity® Pack Power Systems Incorporate Ultracapacitors to Enhance Performance and Efficiency of Electric Lift Trucks

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Maxwell Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: MXWL) announced today that General Hydrogen Corporation, a leading developer of hydrogen fuel cell-based power systems for electric forklifts, has placed a 200,000 unit, three-year, purchase order for BOOSTCAP® ultracapacitors to enhance performance and energy management in its Hydricity® Pack technology.

Dr Richard Balanson, Maxwell's President and Chief Executive Officer, said that the purchase order is part of a strategic supply agreement through which General Hydrogen will source ultracapacitors exclusively from Maxwell and receive strategic pricing if volume thresholds specified in the purchase order are reached. He said that each Hydricity system incorporates 30 to 120 BOOSTCAP MC2600 2,600-farad ultracapacitor cells, and that General Hydrogen anticipates that its volume requirements will escalate rapidly over the next three years.

"General Hydrogen is a leading integrator of fuel cell power systems for a range of industrial vehicles, particularly battery-electric forklifts," Balanson said. "This is one of dozens of high-volume industrial and transportation applications that are creating a multi-billion-dollar opportunity for ultracapacitors in the coming decade, and we continue to move aggressively to strengthen Maxwell's capabilities and global reach to capitalize on that opportunity."

Frank Trotter, General Hydrogen's President and Chief Executive Officer, said that Hydricity Pack power systems are an economical "drop-in" replacement today for lead-acid batteries in Class I electric forklifts.

"Maxwell's ultracapacitors are a critical element that helps us triple the runtime of forklifts, eliminating the average three lead-acid battery sets per vehicle and the extensive infrastructure normally associated with the recharging and care of high-use conventional battery-electric forklifts," Trotter said. "Ultracapacitors' burst power capabilities, energy recapture efficiency and long operating life make them an ideal complement to hydrogen fuel cells.

"Incorporating them enables us to optimize system efficiency and response time and reduce overall system size and cost," Trotter added. "Our customers want power systems that require minimal maintenance and operate reliably for many years, and we believe that incorporating BOOSTCAP ultracapacitors as a key component of our Hydricity Pack fuel cell systems will enable us to meet their expectations."

About General Hydrogen
General Hydrogen is headquartered in Richmond, British Columbia, near Vancouver. It is a private, Delaware-registered company that was started six years ago by Dr. Geoffrey Ballard and Paul Howard, the original founders of Ballard Power Systems. MAXWELL TECHNOLOGIES INTRODUCES NEW LINE OF 'ENERGY' ULTRACAPACITOR PRODUCTS TO PROVIDE LOW COST ENERGY STORAGE SOLUTIONS FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

New BOOSTCAP® Cells and Multi-cell Modules Leverage Versatile Architecture and Electrode Technology To Set Ultracapacitor Industry Standards for Performance, Cost and 'Life-of-the Application' Durability

ROSSENS, Switzerland - Maxwell Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: MXWL) announced today that it has introduced 16 new Energy-type BOOSTCAP® ultracapacitor cells and multi-cell modules as part of its unique product family strategy to better meet the diverse requirements of the automotive, transportation, industrial and consumer electronics markets.

Dr Richard Balanson, Maxwell's president and chief executive officer, said that the company is rapidly expanding its ultracapacitor product line to capitalise on its global leadership as a provider of innovative, high-performance, low-cost energy storage and power delivery solutions.

"The worldwide ultracapacitor market is real and increasingly diverse, so we are moving aggressively to strengthen Maxwell's capabilities and global reach to better serve it," Balanson said. "This means new and more technologically advanced products, stronger internal and external production and distribution capabilities and a wider network of partnerships and alliances. This line of Energy-type ultracapacitor products gives our industrial customers a much wider range of choices to meet their energy storage and power delivery requirements."

Michael Everett, Maxwell's vice president and chief technical officer, said that the company is leveraging its versatile cell and module architecture and electrode technology to produce a line of six Energy-type cell sizes with capacitances of 350, 650, 1,200, 1,500, 2,000 and 2,600 farads, along with 10 fully-integrated multi-cell modules based on the new cells. He said
that the cells with a capacitance of 650 farads or greater operate at 2.7 volts, enabling them to store more energy and deliver more power per unit volume than any other commercially available ultracapacitor products.

Everett noted that the Energy-type BOOSTCAP products will offer customers cells and modules specifically engineered to provide lower cost solutions for UPS, telecommunications and other light duty industrial electronics applications. He said that a second line of Power-type cells for hybrid vehicle drive trains, automotive subsystems and other applications that require the lowest equivalent series resistance (ESR) and highest efficiency available with current ultracapacitor technology will be introduced shortly.

"In addition to meeting or exceeding demanding transportation and industrial application requirements for both watt-hours of energy storage and watts of power delivery per kilogram, all of these products will perform reliably for more than one million discharge-recharge cycles," Everett said. "The proprietary architecture and material science on which BOOOSTCAP products are based also enable us to significantly reduce manufacturing cost, positioning Maxwell to achieve our stated goal of pricing large cell ultracapacitors at one cent per farad in multi-million-cell annual volumes."

Everett said that all of Maxwell's multi-cell modules are specifically designed to meet end-user requirements for durability and maintenance-free operation. They include internal cell balancing that give designers "plug and play" solutions, plus module-to-module balancing that makes them versatile building blocks for systems with higher voltage requirements.

BOOSTCAP ultracapacitors deliver up to 10 times the power and longevity of batteries, require no maintenance and operate reliably in extreme temperatures. In transportation applications, they efficiently recapture energy from braking for reuse in hybrid drive trains, reducing fuel consumption and emissions. They also provide compact, lightweight, "life-of-the vehicle" solutions to stabilize automotive power networks and power new, all-electric subsystems, such as drive-by-wire steering. In mission critical industrial applications, where backup power is critical for continued operation or a soft shutdown in the event of power interruptions, they provide reliable, cost-effective, maintenance-free energy storage. In
wind turbine blade pitch and braking systems and other industrial applications, they provide a simple, solid state, highly reliable, solution to buffer short-term mismatches between the power available and the power required.

PREMIERE GLOBAL SERVICES BRING REVOLUTIONARY NEW MOBILE TECHNOLOG Y TO UK MARKET

PrintAnywhere solution enables email attachments to be printed remotely
solving frustration for mobile professionals

March 7, 2006 - PrintAnywhere solves one of the biggest issues for mobile
professionals - the ability to view email attachments or large messages sent
to their Blackberry or PDA. PrintAnywhere is available exclusively through
Premiere Global Services, a global leader in outsourced data communications
and integrated business solutions.

The new offering enables mobile workers to receive and print emails and
attachments directly from their BlackBerry or PDA device via any fax machine
worldwide. PrintAnywhere enables greater efficiency on the road by allowing
a user to view and print important documents when they need them. If a
mobile professional is not able to do this, it can add days to business
processes needing authorisation or signature, such as contract paperwork,
until the user is back in the office or connected to a printer. Business can
be conducted from an airport, a hotel, home, or any other remote site
resulting in higher productivity and increased responsiveness.

Within the first four weeks of launching their PrintAnywhere solution,
Premiere Global Services already has several major enterprises using the
service.

"Our industry is moving increasingly towards wireless solutions," said Simon
Bushell, General Manager, Premiere Global Services UK. "That's why we
developed PrintAnywhere. It is part of our commitment to offer the most
advanced data communications and integrated solutions that enable our
customers to simplify their business processes.

"One of the biggest frustrations for business travellers, especially owners
of wireless email devices like a Blackberry, is finding a way to view and/or
print urgent messages", continued Bushell. "The ability to print emails and
attachments on the spot can reduce turnaround times and enhance productivity
in the field, for example, providing sales professionals or lawyers access
to documents, such as order forms or contracts instantly, enables them to
spend more time with clients and ultimately, close more deals."

PrintAnywhere will print any type of file to any fax machine, from anywhere,
in seconds, without opening the attachment. The user simply forwards an
email to the nearest fax where it is imaged complete with a cover page and
any attachments.

Intergence Systems appoints Insight and aims for continued growth

Intergence Systems appoints Insight and aims for continued growth

Insight wins PR account for Intergence Systems

Manchester, 6 March 2006: Insight Marketing and Communications today announced its appointment by Cambridge-based Intergence Systems, a network consultancy specialising in the design, build and migration of highly structured networks.

Ann Fielder, the Insight account director heading up the Intergence account, said: "We're delighted to be working with Intergence on what promises to be an exciting year for them. They have solid partnerships with several big name clients such as Reuters, Cisco and Cable & Wireless, which shows the depth of experience and knowledge they have, and will ideally position them as thought leaders in their industry."

Insight has been hired to help raise the profile of Intergence in the financial, telecoms and IT press. The appointment follows a successful period of growth and expansion for Intergence. It recently opened an office in New York, and since 2003 has grown over 500% from 4 employees to 25, with a recent move to new, expanded offices in Cambridge. And the company plans to continue this growth with Insight's help.

Peter Job, managing director of Intergence, said: "We plan to double our revenue in 2006 and achieve £24m turnover within three years. Insight's experience with the technology and vertical press will be a big factor in how we move forward."

Insight has already been involved in the development of corporate messaging to work alongside existing marketing collateral. Moving forward, Insight will carry out a media relations campaign, designed to highlight issues around networking and telecoms such as outsourcing vs. insourcing, compliance for the financial sector, and convergence in the telecoms industry.
