Vistorm makes Managed Services and Professional Services affordable for SME resellers
Oxford, UK, 14 November 2006: Managed security services provider and Information Assurance specialist Vistorm today announced the launch of its new Channel Business Partner Programme, aimed at making specialist security services available and affordable to small and medium services providers. As Information Assurance becomes a critical issue at board level, the programme will enable partners to engage with higher, board level contacts within organisations through the provision of IA-focused services packages.
Partners will have the opportunity to provide Vistorm's Managed Services, as well as its Professional Services & Consultancy offerings. This move reflects a growing trend in the market towards Unified Threat Management (UTM) and Outsourced Managed Services. Vistorm hopes to work with forward thinking organisations looking to capitalise on this.
Recently appointed head of channel business at Vistorm, David Spreadbury, said: "The launch of our Channel Business Partner Programme is part of our main Services Expansion Plan, to grow our services offering via new routes to market. We are looking for organisations focused on developing their services portfolios, to take advantage of the skills, resources and infrastructure available to them through working with Vistorm. These new security services will be a significant proposition to their customers. These focused companies will act as our engine room, driving the creation of new business opportunities in a number of industry sectors."
Spreadbury explained that Vistorm is looking for a select group of focused partners - SMEs with a variety of backgrounds - to sell these security services either as Vistorm- or own-branded offerings. "Over the last 15 years we have invested heavily in our Managed Security Service infrastructure, with a Security Operations Centre in Warrington, manned 24/7, 365 days a year. Our infrastructure is fully developed, therefore our new partners will benefit by being able to sell our services without making the necessary investment. We will be able to add several new strings to their bow with a full security services portfolio."
The same benefits are available for the Professional & Consulting Services portfolio. Vistorm has created 15 new packages in the professional services space, focusing on various different competencies. These will initially be sold exclusively through the new partners, and again, the value-add for the partners will be access to the highly qualified consultants and technicians in this division.
Spreadbury joined Vistorm in July, from a consultancy role in Government for BT. Prior to that, he worked for Integralis, building its channel business in Europe.
"Vistorm's Managed Services division has more than 600 clients running over 800 devices in 64 countries, from managed firewalls, managed email, managed infrastructure to managed intrusion detection services. The Professional Services Practices create and deliver secure and scalable solutions for clients, as well as working on strategic security architectures and business issues, particularly Information Assurance. We want quality, driven and focused partners to join us in building on these successful offerings."
