BETT 2006 (stand S31) Azzurri Communications launches TALMOS Classroom Manager, a practical and useful tool that promotes effective classroom control
Education specialist, Azzurri Communications, will demonstrate how its unique TALMOS Classroom Manager product can help teachers and students get more out of their lessons through the innovative application of technology, at BETT 2006 at Olympia, London on 11th-14th January 2006.
On the stand (S31) visitors will be able to see live demonstrations of Azzurri's new product, TALMOS Classroom Manager, a piece of web based software that enables teachers to have total control of exactly what pupils have access to on their computers while in the classroom. With unique personalised Internet filtering, Classroom Manager promotes and enables the safe use of computers and the Internet, enabling teachers to dictate exactly what each pupil has access to.
Gerard Toplass, managing director Azzurri Education comments: "BETT 2006 is an ideal forum for the launch of our unique TALMOS Classroom Manager product. Some of the teachers that have piloted this product will be on the stand to share their enthusiasm and to talk about how using technology has revolutionised lesson planning and classroom management within their schools."
"The product gives teachers complete control over what a pupil can and cannot see. Teacher's can be sure that children aren't surfing the Internet and logging into chat rooms while their back is turned," continues Toplass.
Azzurri will also be running demonstrations of its flagship product TALMOS Planning, a teaching and learning management solution. TALMOS Planning enhances schools ability to teach effectively and reduce daily administration. It is now available with skeleton lesson plans and proposed content, in line with the national curriculum, to help schools and teachers plan lessons in advance.
The TALMOS solution complements the government's workforce reform agreement, designed to make sure all classroom teachers in England get 10% of their working week set aside for planning, marking and other tasks.
The solution is set apart from other planning applications as it is completely teacher-centric, helping them to plan and deliver lessons, share lesson resources, evaluate lesson effectiveness, monitor teaching styles and more importantly, in line with the Government's Personalised Learning agenda, make these available individually to children.
TALMOS Planning also helps develop collaborative working within individual schools, LEA and school clusters, helping them to accelerate an improvement in standards and strengthen teaching and learning throughout a network of schools. Azzurri has already deployed its TALMOS Planning application to the North Somerset 7 Federation of schools, making it possible for teachers to easily share and access lesson plans at the click of a mouse, across the seven sites.
As part of the stand, Azzurri will also be demonstrating its TALMOS 'Learning Link' solution, demonstrating that the future of education lies in the connectivity between a child's school and home. TALMOS 'Learning Link' turns 24x7 learning into a reality, enabling children to work remotely on their school's server to do their homework or catch up on any work they may have missed. Teachers can also connect to the TALMOS system from home to plan lessons and allocate resources.
The 'Learning Link' solution is an absolute extension from school to a child's home. It also helps parents and guardians become part of the teaching and learning process.
